Banksy vs Bristol Museum

This weekend is the last weekend if you want to catch the Banksy exhibition at the Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery. It runs until August 31st and is open 10am-5pm daily and admission is free.
The secretive artist (rumoured to be Bristol born) has transformed the Gallery and some of its art work into thought provoking, sometimes very typical Banksy, artwork. There are also original pieces that have never been seen before – totalling over 100 works it is Banksy’s biggest British exhibition.
The exhibition called Banksy versus Bristol Museum the gallery has been completely taken over by the artist but often in a very subtle ways. In some parts of the gallery he has blended his artwork into the classical works so it almost becomes a game, who can spot a Banksy first?
For example the Banksy version of the Madonna and Child seems to have not been touched until you notice that the Holy Mother is listening to her iPod! There are other art works that he has cleverly inverted to give a completely new meaning to the artwork.
Let me know if you caught the exhibition and your thoughts on it and other Banksy artworks.
Check out the BBC‘s article on the exhibition for some great images.
